Professional Company Checks

All companies that join Konnect You are legitimate trading companies. We run thorough checks to ensure every company is fully established as a reliable, trustworthy business.

Regulations and Accreditations

Every Licensed Conveyancer and Conveyancing Solicitor must be regulated by any of the following:

  • Council for Licensed Conveyancers (CLC)
  • Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA)
  • Law Society of Scotland (LSS)
  • Law Society Northern Ireland (LSNI)
  • Chartered Institute of Legal Executives (CILEx)

Every Surveyor offering Level 2 Surveys, Level 3 Surveys and Valuation Reports must be regulated by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). Every Surveyor offering Snagging Surveys must be regulated by RICS or the Residential Property Surveyors Association (RPSA).

Mortgage brokers must be regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).

Code of Practice

All members must adhere to our code of practice and we expect the following from them at all times:

  • Contact the customer within 48 hours
  • Have sufficient insurance in place (applies to removal and clearance companies)
  • Confirm they have a full set of Terms and Conditions
  • Removal companies must agree to a home survey when possible or get detailed requirements of the move
  • If undertaking the job, ensure that all necessary steps have been taken to complete the job as agreed with the customers
  • Ensure staff are competently trained, monitored, uniformed where appropriate and conduct themselves professionally
  • Provide quality customer service throughout and always put the customer’s needs first at all times
  • Provide a comprehensive and easy-to-understand quotation
  • Offer quality after-sales service whenever required

Continued Monitoring

Once we accept a company, we then continue to monitor them for the entire time they are part of the Konnect You network.

Anybody that uses our website to find a company will be invited to leave feedback on the company they chose. We read all feedback sent in and this helps us to ensure companies are adhering to our code of practice and operating in a professional manner.

In extreme cases, if a company is not performing to our expectations, they’ll be removed from our network with immediate effect.
