Liverpool City Centre is still the most popular area for home-movers, with 6.7% of people moving to the city choosing the centre.
Konnect You analysed moving data from more than 1,200 people who relocated to Liverpool. The City Centre came out on top, followed by Aigburth, Allerton, Crosby and Toxteth.
But the fastest growth is happening further out, with Garston, Maghull, Formby, Huyton and Crosby all seeing stronger demand.

Liverpool City Centre attracts the largest share of home-movers overall.
It also has one of the lowest average house prices in the top 10, at £183,685. Its average monthly rent is £935, making it cheaper to rent than several suburban locations in the ranking.
That mix of central location and relative affordability may help explain why it remains the most popular area.
Garston saw the strongest growth, with mover demand rising by 40.5%.
Maghull, Formby, Huyton and Crosby also recorded strong increases. This suggests more home-movers are looking beyond the city centre and established South Liverpool hotspots.
Affordability appears to be a clear factor. Areas where mover numbers fell had an average house price of £318,925. Areas where mover numbers rose averaged £245,584, making them 23% cheaper to buy in.

“Investment in Garston is likely to build on the momentum we are already seeing. New schemes at The Old Baths, Church Road and Window Lane are introducing a mix of social rent, affordable rent and rent-to-buy homes, which could widen the area’s appeal to home-movers.
“I expect Garston to climb even higher in the top 10.”
Liverpool City Centre is still the most popular area for home-movers, but some of the strongest growth is happening in outer areas.
Garston best shows this shift. It has become the fastest-rising area in the ranking while remaining more affordable than nearby Allerton and Woolton, both of which saw demand fall.
For anyone planning a move in Liverpool, the data shows why it is worth looking beyond the headline ranking. House prices, rent, transport, property type, local amenities and long-term affordability can all affect which area feels right.
